Fine Dining

So… what is fine dining?

Restaurants divide in two broadest categories: casual dining and fine dining, while there are many standard divisions and classifications, based on food style, type of service, prices, etc.

Casual dining is friendlier and more informal, while Fine dining exudes a more elegant and formal atmosphere. The food offered in these two types is very different as well as the pricing.

Fine dining, on the other hand, is a more formal style of eating. The excellent menu and expensive dishes usually characterize these kinds of restaurants. The food is served by the staff in a more formally technique. The service is on high quality levels and exudes an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. Lighting, space design and decoration, staff, are all involved together to create this atmosphere.

Customer service in these restaurants is upscaled than in casual or fast casual restaurants. Every detail counts, and the more popular and award-winning it is, the more demanding customers become, not only in terms of cuisine but also in service.

There is a standard theory that in the very expensive restaurants that with gourmet gastronomic cuisine the visitor will meet high demand service techniques. For example, when it’s time to serve a couple then two waiters place the dishes on the table at the same time!

Eating in a fine dining restaurant is a special experience, though, we should not forget that price is not always a safe indicator for good quality. For many, after all, a good meal and fine dining are total two different things.
